摘要： The growth of a country is heavily depending on its investment over science and technology. In fact, the progress in computer science research serves as a vital factor in the development of a country. Interestingly, despite that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is located near each other, they do not share a similar level of ICT development, which leads to a digital divide among them. Thus, it is crucial to bibliometrically evaluate and compare the computer science research output over the latest decade (i.e., 2009 to 2018) among these countries. With the data gathered from the Web of Science, this study seeks to uncover the research focus of all ASEAN countries over the latest decade by analyzing the author keywords. Majority of the ASEAN was having a different research focus, explaining the varied levels of ICT development. Practical and theoretical implications are then offered accordingly.

摘要： This paper presents a study that analyzes and gives quantitative means for measuring the gender gap in computing research publications. The data set built for this study is a geo-gender tagged authorship database named authorships that integrates data from computing journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and the Microsoft Academic Graph (MAG). We propose a gender gap index to analyze female and male authors' participation gap in JCR publications in Computer Science. Tagging publications with this index, we can classify papers according to the degree of participation of both women and men in different domains. Given that working contexts vary for female scientists depending on the country, our study groups analytics results according to the country of authors affiliation institutions. The paper details the method used to obtain, clean and validate the data, and then it states the hypothesis adopted for defining our index and classifications. Our study results have led to enlightening conclusions concerning various aspects of female authorship's geographical distribution in computing JCR publications. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. 摘要： NLP's sphere of influence went much beyond computer science research and the development of software applications in the past decade. We see people using NLP methods in a range of academic disciplines from Asian Studies to Clinical Oncology. We also notice the presence of NLP as a module in most of the data science curricula within and outside of regular university setups. These courses are taken by students from very diverse backgrounds. This paper takes a closer look at some issues related to teaching NLP to these diverse audiences based on my classroom experiences, and identifies some challenges the instructors face, particularly when there is no ecosystem of related courses for the students. 摘要： A simplified approach to accelerate matrix factorization of big data is to parallelize it. A commonly used method is to divide the matrix into multiple non-intersecting blocks and concurrently calculate them. This operation causes the Load balance problem, which significantly impacts parallel performance and is a big concern. A general belief is that the load balance across blocks is impossible by balancing rows and columns separately. We challenge the belief by proposing an approach of "Balanced Partitioning (BaPa)". We demonstrate under what circumstance independently balancing rows and columns can lead to the balanced intersection of rows and columns, why, and how. We formally prove the feasibility of BaPa by observing the variance of rating numbers across blocks, and empirically validate its soundness by applying it to two standard parallel matrix factorization algorithms, DSGD and CCD++. Besides, we establish a mathematical model of "Imbalance Degree" to explain further why BaPa works well. BaPa is applied to synchronous parallel matrix factorization, but as a general load balance solution, it has significant application potential.

摘要： 针对教育部2021年工作要点中“加快振兴中西部高等教育,增强推动中西部高质量发展的服务能力”,对六盘水师范学院计算机科学与技术专业三届毕业生进行调查。调查结果显示,毕业生就业率较高但就业岗位的专业层次和薪资水平较低,职业处境满意度不高。针对存在的问题,采取建设高水平师资队伍、创新人才培养模式、双创教育融入专业教育、强化课程教学方式改革、落实教学质量保障体系、不断推进专业思政建设等措施加以改进。

摘要： 随着5G、大数据及人工智能等信息技术的快速发展,计算机科学与技术专业采用传统计算机学科的课程体系及实践教学模式已不合时宜。新工科提出要对传统工科专业改造升级,为计算机科学与技术专业发展快速提供机遇。以南阳师范学院计算机科学与技术学院为研究对象,根据新工科人才的要求,结合地方高校特色对计算机科学与技术专业课程体系及实践教学模式进行初探,以期为计算机科学与技术专业课程体系建设及实践教学模式改革提供参考。
