摘要： This book details how African American women used lessons in basic literacy to crack the foundation of white supremacy and sow seeds for collective action during the civil rights movement. Deanna Gillespie traces the history of the Citizenship Education Program (CEP), a grassroots initiative that taught people to read and write in preparation for literacy tests required for voter registration—a profoundly powerful objective in the Jim Crow South. Born in 1957 as a result of discussions between community activist Esau Jenkins, schoolteacher Septima Clark, and Highlander Folk School director Myles Horton, the CEP became a part of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1961. The teachers, mostly Black women, gathered friends and neighbors in living rooms, churches, beauty salons, and community centers. Through the work of the CEP, literate black men and women were able to gather their own information, determine fair compensation for a day’s work, and register formal complaints. Drawing on teachers’ reports and correspondence, oral history interviews, and papers from a variety of civil rights organizations, Gillespie follows the growth of the CEP from its beginnings in the South Carolina Sea Islands to southeastern Georgia, the Mississippi Delta, and Alabama’s Black Belt. This book retells the story of the civil rights movement from the vantage point of activists who have often been overlooked and makeshift classrooms where local people discussed, organized, and demanded change.

摘要： The year 1968 was the height of the worldwide Black liberation struggle and the beginning of a new era in Black studies and Black culture in the United States. It also marked a turning point for the global reach of US power, which was built on the counterinsurgency honed on Black and other oppressed populations at home. The next five decades consolidated the culture of US empire, with the imperial grammars of Blackness justifying the domestic carceral regime and US and US-backed wars and occupations abroad. This study reveals the troubling ways that the long war on terror relied on the labor and the fantasies of Black women to justify the imperial spread of capitalist democracy. With attention to the way government agencies, intellectual and political elites, corporations, and universities disciplined and surveilled Black women, but also included and celebrated them, it probes the intimacy between security and Black womanhood since 1968. It also carefully chronicles the collective craft of Black feminist organizing and writing on the other side of terror, which tracked the changes in racial power and transformed African American literature and Black studies. With analyses of writers like Toni Cade Bambara, Nikky Finney, June Jordan, Claudia Rankine, and Alice Randall and television shows like Scandal and HBO’s In Treatment, this book weaves together a Black feminist cultural history of the long war on terror.

摘要： Searching for new high temperature superconductors has long been a key research issue. Fe-based superconductors attract researchers' attention due to their high transition temperature, strong irreversibility field, and excellent crystallographic symmetry. By using doping methods and dopant levels, different types of new Fe-based superconductors are synthesized. The transition temperature is a key indicator to measure whether new superconductors are high temperature superconductors. However, the condition for measuring transition temperature are strict, and the measurement process is dangerous. There is a strong relationship between the lattice parameters and the transition temperature of Fe-based superconductors. To avoid the difficulties in measuring transition temperature, in this paper, we adopt a machine learning method to build a model based on the lattice parameters to predict the transition temperature of Fe-based superconductors. The model results are in accordance with available transition temperatures, showing 91.181% accuracy. Therefore, we can use the proposed model to predict unknown transition temperatures of Fe-based superconductors.

摘要： 目的探讨大气污染物与温度对天津市河西区人群肺癌早死寿命损失年(YLL)的交互作用,为肺癌死亡影响因素研究提供参考依据。方法收集天津市河西区人群2015年1月1日—2017年12月31日的肺癌死亡相关数据及2015—2017年天津市河西区空气质量监测点环保监测数据和天津市气象数据,应用分布滞后非线性模型建立双变量响应面模型及单污染物和多污染物温度交互模型,分析大气污染物与温度对天津市河西区人群肺癌YLL的交互作用。结果相对于参考温度16.3℃,高温(34℃)和低温(–13℃)分别使天津市河西区人群每日肺癌YLL上升1.12%(95%CI=0.58%~2.16%)和1.49%(95%CI=0.16%~14.25%);细颗粒物(PM(2.5))、二氧化氮(NO_(2))、一氧化碳(CO)、臭氧(O_(3))-1 h和O_(3)-8 h可分别导致天津市河西区人群肺癌YLL上升1.00%(95%CI=0.98%~1.03%)、1.01%(95%CI=0.95%~1.08%)、1.01%(95%CI=0.99%~1.03%)、1.03%(95%CI=0.98%~1.09%)和1.03%(95%CI=0.98%~1.09%);且在低温时,每升高10μg/m3的PM(2.5)和NO_(2)可分别导致天津市河西区人群肺癌YLL上升4.14%(95%CI=0.55%~7.85%)和5.44%(95%CI=–4.80%~16.78%)。结论高温和低温以及PM(2.5)、NO_(2)、CO、O_(3)-1h和O_(3)-8 h均能增加每日肺癌YLL,且低温时PM(2.5)和NO_(2)对每日肺癌YLL影响的效应较强。

摘要： The existing papers on unrelated parallel machine scheduling problem with sequence and machine-dependent setup times (UPMSP-SMDST) ignore the worker resources and learning effect. Given the influence and potential of human factors and learning effect in real production systems to improve production efficiency and decrease production cost, we propose a UPMSP-SMDST with limited worker resources and learning effect (NUPMSP). In the NUPMSP, the workers have learning ability and are categorized to different skill levels, i.e., a worker's skill level for a machine is changing with his accumulating operation times on the same machine. A combinatorial evolutionary algorithm (CEA) which integrates a list scheduling (LS) heuristic, the shortest setup time first (SST) rule and an earliest completion time first (ECT) rule is presented to solve the NUPMSP. In the experimental phase, 72 benchmark instances of NUPMSP are constructed to test the performance of the CEA and facilitate future study. The Taguchi method is used to obtain the best combination of key parameters of the CEA. The effectiveness of the LS, SST and ECT is verified based on 15 benchmark instances. Extensive experiments conducted to compare the CEA with some well-known algorithms confirm that the proposed CEA is superior to these algorithms in terms of solving accuracy and efficiency.

摘要： Independently developed codebases typically contain many segments of code that perform same or closely related operations (semantic clones). Finding functionally equivalent segments enables applications like replacing a segment by a more efficient or more secure alternative. Such related segments often have different interfaces, so some glue code (an adapter) is needed to replace one with the other. In previous work, we presented an algorithm that searches for replaceable code segments by attempting to synthesize an adapter between them from some finite family of adapters;it terminates if it finds no possible adapter. In this work, we compare binary symbolic execution-based adapter search with concrete adapter enumeration based on Intel's Pin framework, and explore the relation between size of adapter search space and total search time. We present examples of applying adapter synthesis for improving security of binary functions and switching between binary implementations of RC4. We present two large-scale evaluations: (1) we run adapter synthesis on more than 13,000 function pairs from the Linux C library, and (2) we reverse engineer fragments of ARM binary code by running more than a million adapter synthesis tasks. Our results confirm that several instances of adaptably equivalent binary functions exist in real-world code, and suggest that adapter synthesis can be applied for automatically replacing binary code with its adaptably equivalent variants.

摘要： 近年来,被喻为"第五大家鱼"的大口黑鲈深受消费者欢迎,市场需求量大,而目前大口黑鲈的养殖仍然以池塘、网箱等养殖模式为主,工厂化循环水养殖大口黑鲈符合水产行业发展趋势。工厂化循环水应用于大口黑鲈的养殖中,既能减少养殖病害,优化尾水处理,又能提高产量,提升经济效益,控制产品质量。本文对大口黑鲈工厂化循环水养殖试验进行总结,以供读者参考。
