It begins by examining the historical background of the development of new engineering disciplines, highlighting the core role of computer science in this educational framework along with the opportunities and challenges it faces. Subsequently, the article explores the new requirements for talent development in computer science fostered by new engineering education, covering aspects such as knowledge structure, skill development, and quality training. The article also analyzes the current state of computer science education, identifying issues related to the curriculum system, teaching methods, faculty qualifications, and practical teaching components, and proposes corresponding reform strategies. Through case studies, it demonstrates the application effects and successful experiences of platforms like “Rain Classroom” in reforming computer science education against the backdrop of new engineering disciplines. Research findings indicate that optimizing the curriculum system, innovating teaching methods, strengthening faculty development, and enhancing practical teaching components can significantly improve the quality of computer science education, thereby cultivating more high-quality professionals who meet the demands of the new era.
