摘要： Contemporary life has become deeply entangled with the digital. Every day, huge quantities of data, or digital artefacts, are generated. To date, the archaeological study of these artefacts has been limited, its potential demonstrated by a few initial studies and, more recently, the emergence of archaeogaming. If archaeology seeks to understand human culture, however, the study of these digital artefacts must become mainstream. This will require collaboration with computer scientists to bring an archaeological sensibility to understanding the virtual. Ultimately, the aims and methods required resemble those that archaeologists have already developed, but require a change of mindset if they are to be widely deployed for the study of digital artefacts.

摘要： Even though software development uses various technologies and approaches to diagnose bugs in the early stages of development and testing, some bugs are discovered only during operation. To the end user, bugs often look like a program crash while running. To make reports about program crashes, a special analysis component is built into an operating system. Such a component is built into Windows and Linux-based operating systems, in particular, in Ubuntu. An important parameter is the severity of the detected bug, and this information is useful to both the developer of the distribution and the user. In particular, using such diagnostics, users can take organizational and technical measures before the software developer fixes the bug. The paper introduces CASR-a tool for analyzing the memory dump at the time of the process termination (coredump) and for error reporting. This tool helps assess the severity of the program crash by analyzing the memory dump and gather the necessary data for the developer that can help fix the error. This information includes the version of the distribution, the package version, process memory map, state of registers, values of environment variables, call stack, the number of the signal that led to the crash, etc. The severity assessment enables the software developer to fix the bugs that are the most dangerous in the first place. CASR can detect files and network connections that were open at the time of the crash. This information helps reproduce the bug and helps users and administrators take actions in the event of an attack on the system. The tool is designed to work under Linux and supports x86/64 and armv7 architectures and can be supplied as a package for Debian-based distributions. The tool was successfully tested with several bugs reported in open source projects.

摘要： In modern scientific computing, the scientific workflow (SWF) is considered an essential tool for the description and implementation of complex applications. The workflow application is described as a directed acyclic graph (DAG) of tasks (vertices) with I/O data flow (edges) between them. However, this approach does not support the ability to handle data streams from different IoT sources, nor does it support independent deployment and scaling of individual computing tasks. One approach to optimizing a SWF is to partition it into multiple stages, but the implementation is complicated by the tight coupling relationship between the vertices. In the article, we propose Micro-Workflows (MWF) algorithms which automatically separate the partitioned monolith workflow into a set of independent smaller workflows called MWF by refactoring the edges between the vertices.

摘要： This paper describes an exhaustive bibliographic review, which searches for and analyzes the latest trends in the use of techniques and algorithms of a Data Mining (DM) process, focused on the context of meteorological data manipulation, its relationship with electrical and vehicular traffic data. For this, the Systematic Mapping Study (SMS) methodology is used, which is applied for the period from 2015 to 2019. This study is carried out mainly by monitoring the results of the search for scientific articles, regarding three stages of a DM process, these are: data preparation, modeling, and evaluation stage. In the results obtained in this study, it's observed that, in the primary works analyzed, they tend to present more detailed information on the DM techniques used in the modeling stage. Second, works related to the evaluation stage continues. Finally, data preparation stage is where the least amount of information on the techniques used is provided. For the context established as the interest of this study, it's possible to identify techniques most used in recent years, which correspond to Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Vector Support Machines (VSM), and clusters. The results of the preliminary study allow to establish the conceptual bases necessary to deepen the appropriate DM techniques for working with climatic data associated with time series records. integrated with data on electricity production and vehicular traffic, in order to obtain more efficient models for use cases.

摘要： Societal stereotypes depict girls as less interested than boys in computer science and engineering. We demonstrate the existence of these stereotypes among children and adolescents from first to 12th grade and their potential negative consequences for girls' subsequent participation in these fields. Studies 1 and 2 (n = 2,277;one preregistered) reveal that children as young as age six (first grade) and adolescents across multiple racial/ethnic and gender intersections (Black, Latinx, Asian, and White girls and boys) endorse stereotypes that girls are less interested than boys in computer science and engineering. The more that individual girls endorse genderinterest stereotypes favoring boys in computer science and engineering, the lower their own interest and sense of belonging in these fields. These gender-interest stereotypes are endorsed even more strongly than gender stereotypes about computer science and engineering abilities. Studies 3 and 4 (n = 172;both preregistered) experimentally demonstrate that 8- to 9-y-old girls are significantly less interested in an activity marked with a gender stereotype ("girls are less interested in this activity than boys") compared to an activity with no such stereotype ("girls and boys are equally interested in this activity"). Taken together, both ecologically valid real-world studies (Studies 1 and 2) and controlled preregistered laboratory experiments (Studies 3 and 4) reveal that stereotypes that girls are less interested than boys in computer science and engineering emerge early and may contribute to gender disparities.

摘要： Link prediction is a paradigmatic problem in network science, which aims at estimating the existence likelihoods of nonobserved links, based on known topology. After a brief introduction of the standard problem and evaluation metrics of link prediction, this review will summarize representative progresses about local similarity indices, link predictability, network embedding, matrix completion, ensemble learning, and some others, mainly extracted from related publications in the last decade. Finally, this review will outline some long-standing challenges for future studies.

摘要： Single-cell RNAseq is a routinely used method to explore heterogeneity within cell populations. Data from these experiments are often visualized using dimension reduction methods such as UMAP and tSNE, where each cell is projected in two or three dimensional space. Three-dimensional projections can be more informative for larger and complex datasets because they are less prone to merging and flattening similar cell-types/clusters together. However, visualizing and cross-comparing 3D projections using current software on conventional flatscreen displays is far from optimal as they are still essentially 2D, and lack meaningful interaction between the user and the data. Here we present CellexalVR (***), a feature-rich, fully interactive virtual reality environment for the visualization and analysis of single-cell experiments that allows researchers to intuitively and collaboratively gain an understanding of their data.

摘要： The article examines probabilistic logic as applied to computer science and its problems. Probabilistic logic is treated as a generalization of formal logic. In many cases, the application of probabilistic logic occurs under conditions of uncertainty. Probabilistic logic uses a model approach. Computer science also uses a model approach. Probabilistic logic describes uncertainty using quantitative values of probability. Computer science describes uncertainty using the concept of information entropy. The article introduces the concept of informational logical uncertainty. The article finds a connection between probabilistic logic and entropy. This connection makes it possible to build a probabilistically logical model. This connection makes it possible to create probabilistically logical modeling, which is in many ways an analogue of information modeling. The purpose of probabilistically logical modeling is to overcome information and logical uncertainty.
