摘要： Computer Science (CS) degrees have some of the poorest continuation rates across HE. This study describes an intervention within a diverse CS student cohort to identify students who may be at risk of mathematical academic failure and the success of student mentor-led workshops in enhancing these students' mathematical ability. Diagnostic screening identified 46% (N = 92) of the cohort with low mathematical knowledge, with prior entry qualification being the only significant (p < 0.0001) reason for this gap. These identified students were invited to attend weekly mathematical workshops, with a positive correlation between attendance and attainment and females more likely to attend. The CS students were satisfied with having the mathematical workshops delivered by student mentors. In summary, this combined intervention of screening and mentor-led academic support successfully identified gaps within first-year students' mathematical knowledge, with the workshops addressing the diversity in mathematical understanding and helping reduce a prior qualification awarding gap.

摘要： 针对《计算机在材料科学与工程中应用》课程传统课堂教育模式中存在的问题,以线上和线下混合式教学方法重建了该课程的教学体系。从学情分析、教学环节和教学评价等方面对课程教学内容及组织实施情况进行设计,重点在教学环节中,课前、课中、课后将线上线下教学有机结合,既有面对面学习的互动交流,也有在线学习的灵活性;并通过线上各个阶段的数据统计和分析,了解学生的掌握情况,根据学生的个性特征与差异,调整教学方法。重视培养学生的自主学习能力和探究能力,提高学生的学习效率。

摘要： 面向大数据背景下随机退化设备剩余寿命(Remaining useful life,RUL)预测的现实需求,结合随机退化设备监测大数据特点及剩余寿命预测不确定性量化这一核心问题,深入分析了机理模型与数据混合驱动的剩余寿命预测技术、基于机器学习的剩余寿命预测技术、统计数据驱动的剩余寿命预测技术以及机器学习和统计数据驱动相结合的剩余寿命预测技术的基本研究思想和发展动态,剖析了当前研究存在的局限性和共性难题.针对存在的局限性和共性难题,以多源传感监测大数据下剩余寿命预测问题为例,提出了一种数模联动的大数据下随机退化设备剩余寿命预测解决思路,并通过航空发动机多源监测数据初步验证了该思路的可行性和有效性.最后,借鉴数模联动思路,综合考虑机器学习方法和统计数据驱动方法的优势,紧紧扭住大数据背景下随机退化设备剩余寿命预测不确定性量化问题,提出了大数据背景下深度学习与随机退化建模交互联动、监测大数据与剩余寿命及其预测不确定性映射机制、非理想大数据下的剩余寿命预测等亟待解决的关键科学问题.

摘要： Many introductory computer science educational platforms foster student interest and facilitate student learning through the authentic incorporation of music. Although many such platforms have demonstrated promising outcomes in student engagement across diverse student populations and learning contexts, little is known about the specific ways in which music and computer science learning are uniquely combined to support student knowledge in both domains. This study looks at two different learning platforms for computer science and music (CS-plus-music), TunePad and EarSketch, which were used by middle school students during a week-long virtual summer camp. Using both platforms, students created computational music projects, which we analyzed for characteristics of music and code complexity across multiple dimensions. Students also completed surveys before and after the workshop about their perceptions of the platforms and their own backgrounds, and we interviewed some students. The results suggest that different connections between music and computing concepts emerge, as well as different progressions through the concepts themselves, depending in part on the design affordances of the application programming interface for computer music in each platform. Coupled with prior findings about the different roles each platform may play in developing situational interest for students, these findings suggest that different CS-plus-music-learning platforms can provide complementary roles that benefit and support learning and development of student interest.

摘要： Quantitative and computational skills are required of 21st-century biologists. While biology student abilities and attitudes toward math have been studied extensively, less is known about corresponding attitudes toward computer science (CS). It is important to understand how students perceive math and CS subjects and whether those perceptions are linked or operate contradictorily to determine instructional best practices. This study 1) determined biology students' perceptions of math and CS in biological contexts, 2) measured the linkage of those perceptions, and 3) examined additional factors affecting attitudes. Students (N = 272) were surveyed using the original and a CS-adapted version of the Math-Biology Values Instrument to determine interest, perceived utility, and perceived costs toward math and CS in biological contexts. Mixed-effects models were used to determine correlations between task values and investigate effects of exposure to topics and demographic factors. Math and CS values exhibited positive correlations, but utility and cost were more negative for CS, possibly due to less exposure to CS before college, and overall attitudes were influenced by CS background and gender. Given these findings, we make educational recommendations for CS and math exposure early, often, and embedded in the biology curriculum.

摘要： [Purpose/significance]Interdisciplinary knowledge fusion plays a key role in promoting the development of interdisciplinary integration and providing new ideas for interdisciplinary cooperative *** study sets out to identify potential interdisciplinary cooperative topics between Library and Information Science(LIS)and Computer Science.[Method/Process]We built an interdisciplinary co-word network to identify potential interdisciplinary cooperative topics by closed and opened irrelevant knowledge discovery *** also constructed the topic interdisciplinary cooperation potential index(TICPI)to calculate the interdisciplinary cooperation potential of the topic and found the best contact path of the cooperation topic by constructing the practicable value(PV)of the contact patch.[Result/Conclusion]The experimental data suggested that both methods can identify the same potential interdisciplinary cooperative topics,such as knowledge service&matrix decomposition,online comments&social media processing,academic text&generative adversarial network,network public opinion&smart *** the cooperation potential of these topics can help the knowledge fusion between disciplines.
