摘要： Collaborative filtering (CF) is a pivotal building block in commercial recommender systems due to its strength and utility in user interest modeling. Recently, many researchers have turned to deep learning as a way to capture richer collaborative signals from user-item feature interactions. However, most deep-based methods only consider nonlinear, high-order interactions while ignoring the explicit collaborative signals in low-order interactions. They also typically ignore the quality of the user and item profiles. These are cornerstones in item recommendation that, we argue, must be considered for high-quality recommendations. Hence, we propose Deep Attentive Interest Collaborative Filtering (DAICF) to overcome these limitations. DAICF profiles users based on their interactive items, i.e., user neighborhood information. Similarly, item profiles are based on users who had interacted with it, i.e., item neighborhood information. Given a user's profile varies over different items, DAICF accurately models his attentive interests based on the specific target item. Low-order collaborative signals are captured by a shallow component, and high-order collaborative signals are captured by a deep component. These two complementary collaborative signals are then fused to provide rich recommendations that cut through today's information overload. By designing a personalized feature extraction method based on bilateral neighborhood information to solve the data sparsity problem in recommender systems, DAICF can dynamically distinguish the importance of a user's historical interaction items for predicting user preferences for a specific target item. A set of experiments against four real-world datasets validate that DAICF outperforms the most recent state-of-the-art recommendation algorithms and justifies the effectiveness and interpretability of our method.

摘要： Researchers in cognitive science have long been interested in modeling human perception using statistical methods. This requires maneuvers because these multiple dimensional data are always intertwined with complex inner structures. The previous studies in cognitive sciences commonly applied principal component analysis (PCA) to truncate data dimensions when dealing with data with multiple dimensions. This is not necessarily because of its merit in terms of mathematical algorithm, but partly because it is easy to conduct with commonly accessible statistical software. On the other hand, dimension reduction might not be the best analysis when modeling data with no more than 20 dimensions. Using state-of-the-art techniques, researchers in various research disciplines (e.g., computer vision) classified data with more than hundreds of dimensions with neural networks and revealed the inner structure of the data. Therefore, it might be more sophisticated to process human perception data directly with neural networks. In this paper, we introduce the multi-dimensional data analysis platform (MuDAP), a powerful toolbox for data analysis in cognitive science. It utilizes artificial intelligence as well as network analysis, an analysis method that takes advantage of data symmetry. With the graphic user interface, a researcher, with or without previous experience, could analyze multiple dimensional data with great ease.

摘要： Contribution: A problem-solving approach (PSA) model derived from major computational thinking (CT) concepts. This model can be utilized to formulate solutions for different algorithmic problems and translate them into effective active learning methods. Background: Different teaching approaches for programming are widely available;however, being able to formulate an algorithmic solution computationally and then transform it into code is essential for students. Research Questions: What are the effective teaching approaches for fostering the development of problem-solving and programming skills? How do CT concepts contribute to the formulation of a PSA model for programming problems and its translation into an effective teaching method? How can an effective teaching method that utilizes the PSA model be identified and distinguished from other approaches? Methodology: A preliminary study pointed out the difficulties experienced when teaching programming, inspiring the formulation of a PSA model that used CT concepts. An experimental study on problem-based and game-based programming workshops that utilized the PSA model through sorting algorithms was performed on experimental groups consisting of 30 students each. A syntax-based programming workshop consisting of 30 students was used as the control group. All the participants were recruited through a pretest that incorporated basic programming questions. The participants had to answer a posttest after the workshop. Findings: The results showed that the participants exhibited no significant difference between the pretest and posttest for the syntax-based learning (SBL). However, there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest of both the problem-based learning (PBL) and the game-based learning (GBL) workshops. There was no significant difference significant difference for the pretest scores of all three workshops. The analysis of the posttest further confirmed that the experimental groups (PBL and GBL)

摘要： In recent years, education has undergone a profound transformation process, having gone from relying only on the traditional lecture to making full use of digital formats. This gradual process, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic in the last years, has triggered innovative changes in the educational process. Within this context, many lecturers have adopted the flipped classroom instructional model, aiming to improve the motivation and involvement of the students. In this model, students must acquire certain theoretical knowledge at home, and the classes, with the help of the lecturer, are used for the more practical part. This article presents the results obtained when the flipped classroom model was implemented in the computer science degree. Specifically, during 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 courses, this instructional model was assessed in 15 subjects. Results show that the flipped classroom instructional model can be stated that it has improved the students' perception of the learning experience, students' dedication and engagement has been improved, students' perception of their understanding of the subject has improved. The faculty considers that the teaching experience has improved and is in favor of continuing with the experience in future courses.

摘要： Rather than simply offering suggestions, this guideline for the methodology chapter in computer science dissertations provides thorough insights on how to develop a strong research methodology within the area of computer science. The method is structured into several parts starting with an overview of research strategies which include experiments, surveys, interviews and case studies. The guide highlights the significance of defining a research philosophy and reasoning by talking about paradigms such as positivism, constructivism and pragmatism. Besides, it reveals the importance of types of research including deductive and inductive methodologies;basic versus applied research approaches. Moreover, this guideline discusses data collection and analysis intricacies that divide data into quantitative and qualitative typologies. It explains different ways in which data can be collected from observation to experimentation, interviews or surveys. It also mentions ethical considerations in research emphasizing ethical behavior like following academic principles. In general, this guideline is an essential tool for undertaking computer science dissertations that help researchers structure their work while maintaining ethical standards in their study design. 摘要： The aim of attending an educational institution is learning, which in turn is sought after for the reason of independence of thoughts, ideologies as well as physical and material independence. This physical and material independence is gotten from working in the industry, that is, being a part of the independent working population of the country. There needs to be a way by which students upon graduation can easily adapt to the real world with necessary skills and knowledge required. This problem has been a challenge in some computer science departments, which after effects known after the student begins to work in an industry. The objectives of this project include: Designing a web based chat application for the industry and computer science department, Develop a web based chat application for the industry and computer science and Evaluate the web based chat application for the industry and computer science department. Waterfall system development lifecycle is used in establishing a system project plan, because it gives an overall list of processes and sub-processes required in developing a system. The descriptive research method applied in this project is documentary analysis of previous articles. The result of the project is the design, software a web-based chat application that aids communication between the industry and the computer science department and the evaluation of the system. The application is able to store this information which can be decided to be used later. 摘要： Digital computers were invented in the 1940s. They are sophisticated and versatile machines whose functioning is grounded in elaborate theory. Advances in theory and the availability of computers helped computer science to develop as an academic discipline, and university departments for the same started coming up in the 1960s. Computer science covers all phenomenon related to computers and consists primarily of man-made laws governing building, programming, and using computers. Computational thinking is a way of thinking influenced by computers and computer science. There are two schools of thought on computational thinking. The first school sees computational thinking as the use of computers to explore the world, while the other sees computational thinking as the application of concepts from computer science to solve real-world problems. Scholars typically agree that computational thinking has four essential components, viz., abstraction, decomposition, algorithm design, and generalization. Computational thinking is often feted by computer scientists as a useful skill that can be used by anybody anywhere. However, it is necessary to find out ways for successfully using computational thinking in domains other than computer science before it can be declared a universal skill.

摘要： Pair programming is widely recognized as an effective educational tool in computer science that promotes collaborative learning and mirrors real-world work dynamics. However, communication breakdowns within pairs significantly challenge this learning process. In this study, we use eye-tracking data recorded during pair programming sessions to study communication dynamics between various pair programming roles across different student, expert, and mixed group cohorts containing 19 participants. By combining eye-tracking data analysis with focus group interviews and questionnaires, we provide insights into communication’s multifaceted nature in pair programming. Our findings highlight distinct eye-tracking patterns indicating changes in communication skills across group compositions, with participants prioritizing code exploration over communication, especially during challenging tasks. Further, students showed a preference for pairing with experts, emphasizing the importance of understanding group formation in pair programming scenarios. These insights emphasize the importance of understanding group dynamics and enhancing communication skills through pair programming for successful outcomes in computer science education. 摘要： Cyber security is a subsection of computer science. Latest technologies used by “security network management system” for cyber security have enhanced the entire field of computer science and they are potential to generate better security resonance to their customers. This research article have focused various tools invented by computer science engineering based on Security Network System, that are essential for improving the security policies within a company. Various strategy-based tools such as “Collaborative network security management systems (CNSMS)”, “Secure access service edge (SASE)”, “Security Orchestration and Automatic Response (SOAR)” and “Network Security Intelligence Centre” are explained in this research article. The way under which these tools have enhanced the future of computer science engineering has been investigated in this research article. As per the findings from different articles, “Security Orchestration and Automatic Response (SOAR)” is effective for generating alerts, concerning unauthorized access. Moreover, IP address filtering is another major strategic invention within Security Network Management process, for preventing the monopoly of bandwidth usage. This is an effective approach for reducing the chance of cybercrimes. As a result, this research has conducted through a primary qualitative method based on some interview questions. All total 3 managers from different business organisations, operating in different industries has been chosen for this interview process. Thematic analysis has been developed turn the result into some concise workplace themes for better understanding. As per the results, it can be stated that after engaging Security Network Management system, computer science engineering field will be going to see an effective growth opportunity in future.

摘要： Uncrewed aerial vehicles are integral to a smart city framework, but the dynamic environments above and within urban settings are dangerous for autonomous flight. Wind gusts caused by the uneven landscape jeopardize safe and effective aircraft operation. Birds rapidly reject gusts by changing their wing shape, but current gust alleviation methods for aircraft still use discrete control surfaces. Additionally, modern gust alleviation controllers challenge small uncrewed aerial vehicle power constraints by relying on extensive sensing networks and computationally expensive modeling. Here we show end-to-end deep reinforcement learning forgoing state inference to efficiently alleviate gusts on a smart material camber-morphing wing. In a series of wind tunnel gust experiments at the University of Michigan, trained controllers reduced gust impact by 84% from on-board pressure signals. Notably, gust alleviation using signals from only three pressure taps was statistically indistinguishable from using six pressure tap signals. By efficiently rejecting environmental perturbations, reduced-sensor fly-by-feel controllers open the door to small uncrewed aerial vehicle missions in cities.
