纪录片是承担国家或地区的外宣途径之一,而外宣纪录片的翻译则会影响外宣效果。新疆外宣纪录片的翻译传播对向世界展现真实的新疆,推动文化“走出去”具有重要意义。本文借助传播学“5W”模式,结合翻译实践过程去分析《我到新疆去》的纪录片翻译,从原文信息的增减来分析译者,从凸显文化特色来分析受传者,从字幕的拆分和压缩来分析译介渠道,从译文的简洁性和简单性分析译介内容,最后提出新疆纪录片翻译要减少翻译信息干扰、丰富优化传播内容、注重传播效果反馈的外译策略,以达到理想传播效果。本文旨在为新疆外宣纪录片翻译传播提升提供参考,助推其走向国际舞台,树立国际形象。Documentaries serve as one of the channels for international communication of a nation or region, and the translation of such documentaries significantly impacts the effectiveness of the communication. The translation and dissemination of Xinjiang publicity documentaries are of great importance in presenting an authentic image of Xinjiang to the world and promoting cultural “going global”. This paper utilizes the “5W” model from communication studies, combined with the translation practice process, to analyze the translation of the documentary I’m Going to Xinjiang. It examines the translator through the addition and reduction of original information, the audience through the highlighting of cultural characteristics, the translation channel through the division and compression of subtitles, and the translation content through the conciseness and simplicity of the translated text. Finally, it proposes strategies for translating Xinjiang documentaries to reduce information interference, diversify content themes, focus on feedback regarding communication effects, realizing the ideal dissemination outcomes. This paper aims to provide references for enhancing the translation and dissemination of Xinjiang publicity documentaries, facilitating their entry onto the international stage and the establishment of an international image.
