摘要:
In China, Duanwu Festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. According to noted folklore expert Wu Bing'an, 36 minority groups including the Han celebrate Duanwu Festival in their own style. It is linked to several interesting legends and customs including dragon boat racing, which is well-known internationally. Another custom, less-well-known, involves eating Zongzi, a traditional rice-pudding, in memory of Qu Yuan, Wu Zixu or Cao E. Yi-ology would say the season, legends and festival activities are an organic whole embodying the connotations "human and nature unified in Yi" and "enlightening people in a spirit-like way."
