摘要： The article reports on the introduction of a Web site by Advance in the U.S. The site contains information on the lighting implications of EPAct 2005. Moreover, it offers useful upgrade tools and calculators to help users assess the magnitude of their lighting upgrade opportunities. Furthermore, it has educational tours of the energy-saving lighting strategies.

摘要： The article reports on the works of United States Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to reestablish orders in the interstate electricity or natural gas market thrown into chaos by the California and Enron crises. Part of it is founding the Office of Market Oversight and Investigations (OMOI), which aims to protect customers through understanding markets and their regulation, identifying and fixing market problems, and assuring compliance with Commission rules and regulations. The Energy Policy Act 2005 (EPAct) is an added power for commissions law enforcement, expanding FERC civil penalty authority.

摘要： The article reports on the newly executed law by United States President George W. Bush, the Energy Policy Act 2005 (EPAct), a landmark energy legislation. The implementation of the said law creates a wide impacts on most aspects of existing federal energy policy. The modification of the Federal Power Act, Natural Gas Act and Natural Gas Policy Act is one of the most immediate and important impacts of EPAct. The amendment gives the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission the statutory authority to develop and keep on progress with the changes in the electric and natural gas industries and ensure the integrity of the wholesale energy market.
